Equine Assist Farrier Service, also known as knowhoofknowhorse.com, established in 2009, prides itself on its reputation of reliable, friendly and compassionate hoof care for all of our clients.  Equine Assist is dedicated to the belief that every horse will perform better at their given job if they are comfortable, balanced and sound.  Our Farriers and Apprentices spend numerous hours and weekends continuing their hoof care education and staying current on all trends and the latest technology to better care for the hoof.  We are horse owners and horse lovers who will never employ brutality when working with your horses.  Our services consist of everything from basic trims to corrective shoeing to pre-purchase hoof assessments.  We work well in cooperation with vets and trainers who often have differing opinions on hoof care, trimming and shoeing.  We enjoy the challenge of lameness issues and reconstructive work on overgrown hooves.  We shoe cold or hot with Kerckhaert, Delta and St. Croix brand shoes, although we do make our own shoes when needed.  Our clients consist of trail, backyard, western, rodeo, ropers, barrel racers, dressage, drafts and minis.  We also trim donkeys, mules, and goats.  We pride ourselves on delivering top quality customer service for our clients and their horses.
